Lawrence K. Lee
Lawrence Lee is a group leader at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (VCCRI) and a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at The University of New South Wales. He received his PhD from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney in 2008 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Structural and Computational Biology Division of the VCCRI in August 2011. During this time he trained as a structural and molecular biologist, specialising in protein X-ray crystallography. He then established his research group that is interested in using synthetic biology to the study large protein complexes. His group uses a range of biophysical and biochemical techniques including X-ray scattering, targeted crosslinking, DNA self-assembly and single molecule fluorescence microscopy.
