Chiara Paviolo
Chiara graduated with Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from “Politecnico of Turin”, Italy. She started her Ph.D. in 2010 on nanotechnologies applied to biological systems at Swinburne University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Sally McArthur and A./Prof. Paul Stoddart. In 2011 she won the NanoVentures Australia award to conduct part of her research at the University of Sheffield (England) with Prof. John Haycock. Her Ph.D. focused on plasmonic nanoparticle interactions with neuronal cells.
In 2013 Chiara started her first postdoctoral research position at Swinburne University of Technology with A./Prof. Andrew Clayton and A./Prof. James Chon. Her research centres on studying the spatial organization of membrane proteins with plasmonic nanoparticles.
