Fong Yew Leong
Fong Yew Leong is currently a research scientist at A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing. He obtained his MSc and PhD in Molecular Engineering in Biological and Chemical Systems from Singapore-MIT Alliance in 2003 and 2008 respectively. Since then, he pursued his interests in theoretical problems at the interface of biophysics, transport and interfacial phenomena. He has, to date, exposited physical theories on adhesive dynamics of cells, scaling behavior of actomyosin ring constriction, cellular microfluidics and multicellular rotation. He hopes to address deeper questions on collective cell motility and directedness.
