Caroline Rae

Caroline (Lindy) Rae is Chair of Brain Sciences at The University of New South Wales, and an NHMRC Senior Research Fellow. She is Director of MR Research at Neuroscience Research Australia, and UNSW node director of the Australian National Imaging Facility (NIF). Caroline Rae’s particular expertise is in metabolic biochemistry and magnetic resonance, particularly applied to interdisciplinary brain research. She has a track record in using MR technology in novel ways, including discovery of the first link between brain biochemistry and intelligent behaviour. Her lab uses both high field NMR, and MRI at 3 and 9.4 T in vivo. She has published in journals ranging from IEEE Transactions in Medical Imaging to The Lancet.
